I just called my Mother from my computer using Skype.  Regular phone call on her end, super 21st century on mine.  You can get unlimited calling to Canada and the US for $2.95.  Why was I fucking with a VoIP ‘land line’ for all that time for $30???  Geez…

And when Google Voice is open to the public, this is all going to rule
