Cartoons for Charity

A few nights ago, we had a charity event on the ship to raise money for a charity that buys blankets and clothes for poor kids in Mazatlan. The event raised $3300!!!

Each department was invited to have a stall, carnival style. The photography department was selling ice cream and selling off their photo albums cheap. There were a whole bunch of contests going on. There was a blackjack tournament. The spa offered massages for $1 per minute. I went out on my own and offered to draw portraits for people.

It was so awesome, and it totally sucked. It was awesome because I had the biggest line up and my portraits – or, “kustom artwerks” as my sign said – were a big hit. it sucked because I was in a shitty chair, at a low table, and by the end of it my back and eyes hurt terribly and I could barely speak or walk.

    These are great little quickies.
    I hear what you're saying regarding sitting and doing stuff like this.
    When I was a hired to do that for buisnesses, once it was at a parking lot there wasn't any real booth set up for me I sat is a lawn char with the sun beating down on me no kind of shade in the 100 degree summertime heat. the legs of this chair I was on sunk into the asphalt of the parking lot. I could've gotten heat stoke, it's a good thing it was for the staff of a hospital.
