So here on the ship, there were three New Year’s parties. One was in the main Atrium, one up on the top deck amphitheatre, and one in a small bar. The small bar one I didn’t have anything to do with. The one up top on the open deck was a big rock show. But I was stationed on the one in the Atrium. That was a formal affair with the theatre orchestra playing jazz music, and a big balloon drop.

Tynae & company

At first I wanted to be on the big party up top but Tynae and I both agreed that we got the better deal. All we had to do was make sure that party favors were in place at quarter to eleven, then go drink on the company’s dime until quarter to twelve when we hand out party favors. Then it’s countdown time, and by 12:20 we were up at the deck party. And then into the nightclub.
