The Art of Obama

People are sure going nuts over this guy! Has there ever been another politician in any country that’s got people this fired up?

PS: does that guy count as a ‘politician’?

Yeah, in the beginning. He was a ray of hope. To bring the economy back into order… take care of the common folk …. He was young and enthusiastic. The chicks dug him.

    … You brought it up.

But were the people, not commissioned artists and filmmakers but the people, drawing posters and writing stories about him? I’m not kicking you in the balls, I’m asking for serious!

I would guess half and half. That other guy back then, appealed to the youth, and really energized an optimistic view of where things could be. He really pulled that country out of the shit, compared to what it was.

Yes, for a time the really believed in him.

Now you know this really didn’t strike me either until you brought up the question. And In NO WAY do I even think Obama is EVEN like the other guy.

But that is a strange historical similarity. And from what I’ve read and seen in documentaries, etc., there was the same kind of “mania” in the early days when he was risen to Chancellor (Prime Minister). Then things really blew up once he seized total power.. And became what he became.. And it was easy because he was the favored peoples politician.
He was “Elvis” in many eyes, even to many of the younger Jews.
There are differences in that he was a bit of a thug and had his bullies do all the dirty work, and said a lot of spiteful things about other races. But in early mid 20th Century thinking, that was a sign of strength and courage.

It sounds crazy now, but it was just that. Most of the world was a bigoted one, and you were only taken serious if you were armed and could smack your woman around.

.. and as John K. would say “when cartoons were funny!”.
