Tintin in the Land of the Soviets  actually have not read any books, but curious about the story and the characters and theatre nearby to me

  • Marco Fuentes

It is and always will be The Secret of the Unicorn, I had it as a child and it brings back so many memories!

  • Pratik Parmar

I love “The Seven Crystal Balls”, this is the first book i have ever (SEEN) when i was a kid and don’t know how to Read but then i enjoyed the all pictures in color… and had fun… but guess what..it didn’t gone from my mind until I was able to Read and then I read the book to understand what is going on… and since then i loved reading TIN TIN comics.

I’ve only read a handful of the Tintin books, but my favourites are The Blue Lotus and Secret of the Unicorn. They were such great books to read as a child and I think I’ll have to read the rest of the Tintin collection now! Can’t wait to see the new movie!

  • Tom

My favourite Tintin book has to be “Tintin in Tibet”. Not only does it revolve around my favourite mythical creature – the Yeti, but the ending is just also so… sad. even thinking about it now makes me nostalgic.

TINTIN IN TIBET. I have a thing for snow (didn’t get much as a kid), Snowie and the Abominable Snowman. Thanks for the contests!

  • Dave

I’m actually a pretty new fan to Tintin – I ve heard so much about it. And I love the animation! the look of the movie looks really good! I will definitely go check out some of the books! Hopefully if i do get a chance to see the movie- become a bigger fan!! thanks!

I liked “The Secret of the Unicorn” because It’s the BEST DETECTIVE MYSTERIES and a Treasure hunt too, and that’s what makes it “Magnetic” for all readers like me.

I love Tintin in Tibet because it involves a yeti.

You are asking for me to choose which Tintin book I love? So hard to choose for all the books are beloved stories of my childhood :) I can not wait to see this film! Thank you for you are the Man! ;)

  • Steven Raphael

My favourite is Tintin in Tibet since my parents read this to me as a child.

  • The Delusionist

Tin Tin In Tibet! It’s actually the only book I ever had as a kid, but I loved it nonetheless. :)

  • Liz

“The Shooting Star”  Snowy spills spaghetti..  I love the artwork!

  • ak

“Tintin in America” ‘cos it’s about Al Capone in Chicago but has a cover of native indians.

  • Td_rideout

My first Tintin book will always be my favorite. I was in french class, and I was 10, along the wall was a series of french books and comics, and there was Tintin in a jeep driving towards a rocket!
That idea just grabbed me, cause as a boy, I wanted to go to space, and the more I read of Tintin, the more I grew to love the stories. Here was a boy not much older than I, who was out there having adventures, and traveling the world, and going to the moon.
    I could do that!

  • Ryanbobkin

My favourite is Tintin in the Congo, which was the first time I was introduced to Tintin. I was seven years old and I could not put the book down. Although I have since realized that their interpretation of Africa was incorrect, this book was the first time I saw true adventure, and Tintin has inspired me to be adventurous and take risks in life.

wouldn’t it be funny if it was the same Yeti from the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer TV special?

Like me, when I made a point to not read The Lord of The Rings books when I found out there was movies coming so that I would get the story fresh!

You’re going to go bonkers when you see it. It’s so good.

  • http://www.seanward.net Sean Ward

True adventure, I like how you put that because this movie is exactly what little boys need right now.

I wish I could pick just one of the adventures but they all brought me so much joy as a child. All I remember how my best friend and I used to read them together, I think we read Las Adventuras de Tintin: El Templo del Sol (Prisoners of the Sun) 6 times when we got it. I really want the movie to bring me back to those times, there is definitely going to be some nostalgia involved when I watch it.

  • K.Kat

I can’t make Saturday night, aww :( But my favorite Tintin is actually two books ‘The Seven Crystal Balls’, and ‘Prisoners of The Sun’. It’s so mysterious and uneasy, and how they don’t really tell you what’s happening until the second book, which is when all hell breaks loose.

Even now they’re a great read.

The screening is Saturday morning at 10am.  What’s that do for you??

  • JW

    It’s OPERATION CERBERUS … it’s the one, I think, Dave Sim collaborated on … http://www.flickr.com/photos/hansenn/3139470261/ ... ;)

My favourite Tintin book is ‘Cigars of the Pharaoh’, it blossomed my love for Egypt and my fascination of Egyptian mythology. Magical! :)

The links of The Blue Lotus to historical events, of the Japanese invasion of China, made it stand out as one of my favorite Herge pieces of the young justice upholder. That intensified the action of the Tintin story to a more dangerous height than the other books. Even when you do some cross referencing to the real events of the 1930s at the time, shows the superior craftsmanship of the series. To integrate this into the story was brilliant. Also, I felt for the story.

The TV show from Cinar, back in the day, made some points brief but it was more than enough for me to find myself in the library, attempting to find what really went down. After reading it, the 90s cartoon episode did the best it could. One of my fav eps, though.
