Welcome to the Show! Can I Offer You a Beer?

Last weekend at the Harth TV studio we had a little party. Created as a feature length complement to our weekly open format showcase Harth Night Lite, we presented Harth Night Full Flavor -a one night only Internet TV special.

The whole Harth Night Full Flavor event, livestreamed July 29, can be viewed on the Harth TV website featuring performances from the whole Harth TV family.

Stella Artois Légère came on board as the official beer of Harth Night Full Flavor and everyone – performers & a small collection of people who found their way into the know – enjoyed their delicious elixir all night long (that’s how we do it at Harth TV studios).

This weekend, the Toronto Festival Of Beer is happening and I got a special preview of the festivities down at the CNE Bandshell on Thursday night.

I was invited to the Beer Tasting 101 event where Roger Mittag (above – I think he works directly for Labatt but don’t quote me) guided a small group of us (Casie Stewart was the only person I knew. Everyone else was a journalist for a news website or a beer magazine) through six different kinds of beer – what’s in them to give them certain flavors and characteristics, etc.  That was very informative and fun.

But the main event was when we moved over to the grill to watch Chef Ted Reader in action.  He made the greatest loaded baked potato you would ever try as he explained how to cook with beer.

And then on top of it all, this arrives at the studio for me the next day.

Special thanks to Briar and Kate at Edelman for helping make Harth Night Full Flavor and the whole week around it one big special occasion.

To everyone at Harth TV and BNOTIONS – congratulations on the first in a long series of HARTH NIGHT specials.

Super big thanks to the people who came to the studio to rock it in person for Harth Night Full Flavor, especially Genevieve, Ashley, Tristan, Gail, Joallore, Brad, Jon.

This was my first big success since joining up with Harth TV so I’m kind of still on a high from it as I start to get ready for the season premiere of The Sean Ward Show on September 1 and Harth Fest on October 29.  Wait until you hear what we’ve got in store for that!
