I gotta check in. I qualify, by Raymi's goofy and self-serving definition as a "hater". Hater is as lazy a label as any other label. I've gone to her blog, regularly, for the same dumb reasons I watch The Housewives of Dade County or whatever the fuck they are called. Because it's compelling to watch people make assholes of themselves. That's the basic impetus for watching reality television and following so-called edgy or trendy blogs.

If writing of the quality that Raymi produces is considered, by your or any other cohort, as evidence of talent or gift, then god help the future of literacy. If aliens land and autopsy the mummified remains of today's twenty-something tribe they will be amazed at the development of the tendons and muscles that support your thumbs, not your ability to write, for Christ's sake. You must be the least literate generation since...what...cave people?

That was one of my points in my talk: Social Media is just a buzz word and you do well at it the same way you do well at anything.

Thanks very much for the props! I know that everyone was a little nervous, but also excited. But people like you in attendance smoothed it right out.

My style starts with a life-long love of hip-hop, and then trying to dress like the Beatles but tweaking it and making it my own.

Ha ha. Ok, seriously folks, this talk was great! My girlfriend, @donnavitan, was the one who bought my ticket and dragged me out and I'm very glad she did. I really liked the format of the talks and the speakers. In all honestly, I don't read blogs, and I've never read Sean's blog, or any of the other blogs by the Blog Stars. After this talk though, I'm pumped to start creating! I also feel more intelligent about blogging after hearing the stories of the Blog Stars.

I hope you keep giving these talks Sean, and that things explode (in a good way) for you and the blog stars.

PS: I'll keep you posted about the Sanyo cams ;)
