Last Thursday, GenYTO put on HaiHaiTO – a big party to raise money to support the Canadian Red Cross’ Haiti efforts.  The event was a massive success on two levels.

First – All told, the donation to the Red Cross came to over $22,000!

Second – It was a hot party!

Deeply philosophical.

The party was fairly polite until I went over to the DJ and told him that we needed “that bounce”.  I told him specifically to play Beat It.  Once the opening beat piped in, me and my homegirl Crystal Gibson took to the dancefloor.  People started to shake it a little bit.  Then we got to the guitar solo and I busted out the whole choreography.  Then the party was absolutely jumpin’.  You’re welcome!

The DJs know to stick with what’s working so it was retro Top 40 night for the next two hours.  Dancing got pretty serious and sweaty.

I absolutely love the Twitter scene, and the people I meet.  Above, that’s Nic from Aux TV, Alice from T-Dot Comics, and Crystal from Aux TV.  There were a whole bunch of other awesome tweeps I met, who I wish I had my picture taken with.
