How a Super Party is Made

By popular demand, here is an inside look behind the scenes at the creation of a SUPER PARTY comics page.  This is not so much an instructional how-to.  It’s more of a glimpse into what goes through my mind as I’m making one of these.

See the SUPER PARTY that I’m drawing in this video at the Super Party website – seanwardsuperparty.com

SWEET! What was it you were watching while you were inking by the way?

Also, I found it suprising you find inking more fun than pencilling! Usually it's the inverse for me! I feel like I can be a lot more free and have a lot more fun with pencils because it's okay to make mistakes while for inking I have to be too precise and there's too much pressure. Different strokes for different folks though!
  • Wicked! Thanks for watching, homey! Yeah, I def. like inking better but maybe it's something to do with the fact that I leave so much of the drawing to inking. I leave a lot of details to be made up at the inking stage, and I'm pretty set in my style now so maybe that's something.

You rock Sean! You sure you can't get this on TV?
  • Funny you should mention that! That priority is being front-burnered again as we speak!
  • This is now my favourite video of yours.

HOW can you draw those lines so straight when you were "inking"? (see? I learned)

And it's good you addressed it at 3:50 because I was like, "no! He's running outta time to show the computer part"

So ya I'm looking forward to that video.

    Great job Sean!!
  • re: lines - Years and years of obsession!

I was looking forward to you seeing it after your comments re: the last drawing demo. I'm very happy you like it.

I still have to do a video about the computer part, and there's another video about my lettering that's coming.
  • It's like "Inside the Actor's Studio"! ;)
  • I forgot to do that segment about my favorite curse word!
  • I've been meaning to do a this same kinda vid for my stuff. Good job, a video for the ages here!
  • Wicked! Thanks, man!
