The Sean Ward Electric Comics Freak-Out! 6

The Sean Ward Electric Comics Freak-Out! 6
November 2005

If you go back and read about Beat City #5, you see where I mention how it was a goof that took off and consumed the next four years of my life.  Well it’s the same story here.  Leading up to the release event for this book I had been the subject of a documentary film that went on to win a bunch of awards.  Additionally, a fan had made a cartoon about me that was pretty funny.  I had certain people whose advice I took very seriously telling me for years that I should think about TV, that my talents are better suited to television than comic books.  Comic books was never the limit of my vision, but I stayed focused on them because I never went to college or university and I used comic books as a way of learning about storytelling, art, composition, marketing, branding, etc.  So now all of it had built into this tidal wave that materialized as The Sean Ward Show.  The release event for this comic book was put on as an episode of a fictitious TV show with a screen beside the stage.  We screened that documentary, that cartoon, and a couple of other specially-created video pieces, with the bands as the musical guests.  We put on The Sean Ward Show as a monthly event, using it to lay the foundation for my career in television, and the rest is history.
