The Sean Ward Electric Comics Freak-Out! 1

The Sean Ward Electric Comics Freak-Out! 1
November 2003

Mr. Lollipop had come out in August, and we put on a party.  I had been selling it and the Beatles book on the street to survive through the summer and autumn, but then it got to November.  November was cold and rainy, day after day.  I can’t go out and sell comic books when it’s cold and rainy.  The rent fell behind, and I survived on coffee.  I was trying to write the next Changing Color & Mr. Lollipop story, but my creativity was blocked by all of the negative emotions I was experiencing over my circumstances.  I began to despair, not just because of my situation but because this was the second winter of this and I felt like I should have learned my lesson the previous year.  But then I had an awakening.  It was nothing short of Infinite Intelligence itself beaming me a signal from the very top of the universe.  I would make a comic about what I was going through just then.  Once I found that piece of the puzzle, this comic book just flew out of me.  We had put on a big release party for the previous two but for this one, I needed to just get it out on the streets at quickly as possible.  That rhythm & blues band I mentioned?  They let me debut the comic book at one of their gigs, so I guess we kind of had an impromptu release party for it.  And then I hit the streets, bundled up and with two pairs of socks on my feet, and sold it by hand throughout the winter.
