Sunday Night DJ

Djing at Sneaky Dee's for Wavelength

Sometimes the life of an artist is a struggle but I’ll tell you something: sitting outside in my underwear, sipping coffee, listening to Sadie May Crash‘s Live at the Horseshoe EP and blogging for you good people in the late morning is the kind of thing that makes it worthwhile.

As you know from my last post, I was at Sneaky Dee’s in Toronto DJing between bands last night.  It wasn’t a major appearance or anything so I didn’t make a big deal about it.  I just hoped a few so-and-so’s would swing through for a drink.  Keri the Canadian Explorer came but it was still way early and I hadn’t settled into a groove yet so I was too worried about song selection and forgot to get a picture.  My cousin Candice came, and I was so glad for the timing on that one because she wants to be an Internet personality and it was good for her to be able to meet someone (Keri) who is doing it right and doing it good.

I got to bust out the Beat It choreography when I played the Cookin’ Soul Beat It remix featuring Kid Cudi. I have the steps down, it’s just a matter of getting it polished. It’s a stunner, but not yet ready for prime time.

Yeah, deejaying is a high stress thing, to put together. (It's more then just putting in a cd and pushing “play”. If I was to take it up again, I'll do it flat sober this time.

Oh, it's nothing I'm taking up. Just a one-off thing for fun.
