My Aunt Annette is cool. If you do not have a rock & roll Auntie, you need to get one. Ever since I got back from California, I have been trying to make a trip to see my rock & roll Auntie Annette and yesterday, Sunday, was when it finally happened.
My mother and I went for the trip.
A stop at Tim Horton’s is a must for a car ride in this family.
When we arrived, she was gardening! Check out the rock balances in her yard. You’ve seen those around town, yes?
We were eating herbs out of her garden while she showed us her work.
Pizza and chicken for dinner! MMmmmmm….
Quick solutions to cheese problems.
An easy solution!
This cat’s name is Six. He has lost a lot of weight since the last time I saw him, which would have been last year. My Aunt got his name from the cat, who told it to her in a dream or something. He also told her about other lives he’s lived. He is a wise old soul.
Meet Sunjye (pronounce it Sun-Jay). You have seen those rock balancing displays all over Toronto? Chances are, this man did it. And if he did it, he most likely taught the person who did. Those big displays on Queen Street late on Friday and Saturday nights? All him.
His blog is at sunjye-blog.blogspot.com.
More of Sunjye’s work in the garden.
That’s my mom on the left, and her sister Annette on the right. They were rockin’ out with an egg shaker and I tried to get a picture of that but as soon as the camera’s near, they start posing.
