San Francisco – Pier 39

San Francisco

All of a sudden I’m overcome. I can’t believe I’m not in L.A. any more. And I am overcome at how much I love San Francisco. I have been drawing it all this time in my comic books without even realizing it. The angles you’re looking at when you are at the top of a hill looking down? Those are my angles. The psychedelic idea of Victorian details, that’s my whole thing.

Today was an awesome trip to the touristy part of San Francisco. I went down to Pier 39 where I took in the scene with my tour guides Annie and Danielle. See the photo booth pictures above? Perfect Angels.

Those pictures are all we got because my camera’s battery died.

Just kidding!

But it was kind of ass that my battery died. The Sea Lions? We don’t need pictures of them. The big Spongebob by the movie theatre? Yeah, whatever. Alcatraz? We don’t need it. What we need is the first five minutes that we were there.

Annie is our tour guide today. Lunch was Clam Chowder in a Sourdough bread bowl. It’s a very touristy dish, but I am in tourist mode so deal.

Danielle did not get the bread bowl.

So Ladies, how was our late lunch?

The spoon dispenser was a matter of great fascination.

Hey, my battery ran out. I’m working with what I’ve got here.

From the Lefty store (because Obama is left-handed).

Danielle, put the pictures you took up so I can steal them. And thank you for introducing me to Bay area rappers, both of you.

For dinner, me and Rando Calrissian and the peeps who live in his house had a big grilling party where we made kebabs and chicken and crab legs. But you don’t need to see that. What you need to see is buildings.

The ribbon thing above the window? That’s just the kind of touch that I keep putting in the backgrounds of my comics but then fighting with myself thinking that it’s too far-fetched and doesn’t look urban enough. Now I know that I can let myself go crazy.

San Francisco

I now realize I haven’t been going nearly far enough.

San Francisco

Walking down towards the Pier. “Just go up the street beside us until it dead-ends into the water.” That was what I got for directions.

In N Out Burger! My love! You didn’t tell me that you are in San Francisco! I thought you were a strictly L.A. phenomenon! One more get-together before I go back to Canada? I really shouldn’t. Oh, maybe just once more. Thank you, I love you too.

By the way, did I mention how much I love San Francisco?
